Built by Raja Bahulochan, the construction of the fort goes back to 3000 years ago. However the Dogra kings had stretched the fort in later times as well. One of the most significant locations in the Chanhani city near Patnitop, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Every year this temple attracts a huge chunk of devotees. There is a sacred river flowing by the temple. The holy river is known as Pap Nashni Bowli. Paap Nashini literally means to get rid of sins. According to a fictional myth this temple is named after Rishi Pulsata who is believed to be the grandfather of Ravana.
